Lucy Serrano-Leets

Born in Mexico City and raised in a bicultural and bilingual home. Lucy studied Hotel Management (Universidad Iberoamericana), Emotional Intelligence (Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana), as well as several business, tax, leadership, academic writing and pedagogy courses in Mexico and the U.S. She thrives to build new projects and find efficient solutions in fast-paced and competitive industries (legal, financial services, insurance, real estate, education and retail).

After working in the legal industry for over 15 years, in 2011, Lucy founded Sabbe Solutions (, a consulting firm assisting companies, law firms, financial consultants, entrepreneurs, NGOs and professionals to identify and implement efficient strategies to manage human and material resources. She also serves as Counselor/Mentor for investors/CEOs/managers, and as member of Boards of Directors.

Lucy has developed, proofread and translated business, legal, academic and psychology documents for the last 20 years. She has also been a simultaneous translator for authors (Dr. Barry Sears and Elizabeth Kostova), during live, radio and TV interviews for their book tours in Mexico City.

Likewise, Lucy actively participates in the design, logistics and as a speaker at conferences, courses and workshops. She has also been interviewed as an expert regarding challenges presented by the balance between a professional and a personal life. In 2011, Lucy was invited to host during the summer a cable TV show called Vivir Plenamente at Telestai.

Finally, Lucy has been teaching English as a second language since 2012 for groups and private lessons (mostly adults at upper-intermediate and advanced level). She has taught the following subjects: Language Structure, (Academic) Writing Skills and Speech, Business Management, Finances and Real Estate English. Lucy also has vast experience successfully preparing students for Cambridge English certifications and actively works with the Business School at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM – Mexico City Campus) to assist young entrepreneurs in new ventures.
